Computerized Dynamic Posturography (CDP)

 

Consists of a computer-based moving platform that the patient stands on to evaluate postural stability and the function of the balance system. The patient must be able to stand for about 15-20 minutes with eyes open and closed.

  • Distinguishing vestibular system problems from multi-factorial balance disorders.
  • Objective quantification of balance problems over time
  • Guiding the formulation of effective balance training therapy
  • Objectively measuring imbalance and documenting
    embellishment or malingering
