A balance test in which a computer-driven chair rotates in regulated variable speeds in clockwise and counterclockwise motions. The test takes about 30 minutes and involves having the patient alert with their eyes open.
Suspected bilateral vestibular loss who have a normal ENG
caloric test
Perforated eardrums who are unable to undergo caloric testing
Ototoxic drug exposure or poor caloric vestibular responses
Suspected cerebellar disease or central vestibular dysfunction
